The Chain Measurement Tool is a straightforward yet essential tool for go-kart maintenance. It helps you measure the length of your chain, ensuring you purchase the correct size when replacing it, especially if your setup requires a specific chain length.
This tool is also invaluable for checking chain stretch. For example, if you’re running a 112-link chain and it measures as 114 links, it indicates that the chain has stretched and should be replaced. While slight chain stretch is normal and acceptable, excessive stretching suggests that the chain has worn beyond its optimal lifespan and is more likely to break.
